Vegetarians and vegans get their own separate menu! (Love that about all of the Wynn's restaurants). The ravioli with tomatoes, asparagus and white wine sauce while sitting outside was perfect.
When making a reservation, make sure to request a view of the water show, otherwise you'll be stuck inside.
Fantastic local coffee house. Their homemade iced chai and the cheddar chive scone is a good pre-hike breakfast.
Clean hotel with good AC, a pool and free wifi just outside of a shuttle stop to enter Zion National Park. What's to hate?
Open later than the ice cream / deli across the street. The espresso ice cream is made from a local coffee house's coffee.
Get your backcountry hiking trail permit here, including the top down Narrows one day or over nighter.
Try to get a permit to do the Narrows top down. 16 mile one way hike and you just get on the shuttle at the end.
Huge portions. The beer battered onion rings are a great appetizer to share and the grilled cheese with pesto and tomatoes is delicious.
Great location to arrange shuttles to the top of Narrows or other trails. However, don't rent the boots here. Even if you spend hours fitting, they won't fit well in the water and blisters happen.
Ridiculous portion sizes. Seriously, the nacho appetizer could feed 3 people with no need for a main course.
Try to attend one of the ranger lectures in the amphitheater at 9:15pm. They last only 30-45 minutes and can teach you a part of the park you wouldn't normally hear like dinosaurs or owls.
The food is a bit dated and old fashioned. Baked brie and pears? Beet / goat cheese salad? Cheesecake dessert? Nothing terribly unique but all good sized portions of classics.
The fully loaded hash browns are only $0.50 more than than the plain hash browns and come with cheddar cheese, sour cream and pico de gallo.
