Cash only. The ATM costs $2. Tater tots are only served with brunch. Bloody Marys are now $3. Jason and Nick are the best bartenders. The chicken tacos are the best, and are half off on Tuesdays.

All of the necessary provisions for a debaucherous evening out: a dimly lit, red-tinted bar, a spacious roof deck, and a back room for games.

Gotta love a strong Manhattan served in a plastic glass like you'd get at an old school pizza parlor. The Old Pro from Union brewery in Baltimore is terrific if you're down with a sour/salty beer.

Everything brunch should be: super affordable, nothing fancy, just delicious, rooftop, and tots w every dish. Extra points for having drink specials beyond just mimosas. My new favorite brunch in DC!

Neighborhood bar. Cash only. Relaxed on weekdays, packed on weekends. Good beer selection. Bartenders are very friendly. Check out the rooftop section.

Nick is the beat bartender ever, and Anne Marie is the nicest. Hit this spot for some of the best weekday drink deals, including $4 Tom Collins's and Tequila Sunrises on Tuesdays.

Schlitz and a shot and sweet potato fries. Go on Tuesdays for half-priced tacos or at 2am for espresso shots on Saturday because why wouldn't you?

Be warned, brunch closes at 330. If you're one of those "awake by noon, out of bed by 2" kind of people, you won't make food on time. Otherwise their Bloody Mary's are fantastic.

A must visit if you're in the Columbia Heights area. The rooftop adds to the charm of this dive. It captures the essence of the neighborhood. Don't miss the weekend brunch.

Lots of cheap drinks. A ton of great craft beers. Great rooftop. Need to pay with cash! They have an ATM though.

One of my favorite dive bars in DC. Beer. Fried mac and cheese. Grilled cheese and sweet potato fries.

Super cheap sunday brunch menu - including the $2 bloody marys. You can get stuffed and wasted for less than $15 here.

Love the brunch. I always get Bloody Mary's over the Mimosa's, but it don't matter since they are all $3. Grab a morning burger with tots or the if you aren't that hungry, the breakfast burrito.

By far the coolest staff around. I was unable to pay my tab one night, and when I came into settle it up, the manger bought me a beer. Very cool place.

Beer is only served in cans at this dive, but they've got a good selection. Go for a Dale's Pale Ale or an Old Chub.

Used to be hardcore hipster, now a little less so. The rooftop is sweet. But watchout -- it's cash only.
