Enter the gardens for free (toilets for free inside too), but take your time to watch the great pieces of art inside. The family game is a good way to engage the kids in the exhibits (well some of them).

If Van Gogh museum is crowded, Rijks has a quite number of his paintings here, including masterpieces from Rembrandt, Rubens, Brueghel, Avercamp, etccc
