Brewed to commemorate the fierce Battle of Sole Bay fought against the Dutch Republic in 1672 off the Southwold coast, Broadside has enjoyed a meteoric rise to fame. It’s a fine heart-warming English beer, rich in flavours of malt & hops. Brewed w/ Pale Ale malt & First Gold hops, Broadside is a dark ruby red beer rich in fruitcake aromas, almonds & conserved fruit.
Aspall’s Harry Sparrow Suffolk Cyder (4.3% ABV)
The recipes for Aspall’s unique blend of bittersweet & culinary apples have been handed down through eight generations of the Chevallier family since 1728 Created in honour of Aspall’s cyder maker for 50 years from the 1920s, it is mid golden to amber in colour, full bodied & medium dry w/ floral & cedar wood overtones.
Calvors Brewery
Is located on a family farm in rural Suffolk & aims to create natural lagers as they should be using traditional methods, brewing in small batches w/ the finest locally malted barley. They use no adjuncts, preservatives or pasteurisation thus giving exceptional tasting beer. 3.8% a session lager w/ a beautiful pale colour & a clean crisp refreshing taste.
Brewer’s Gold, Crouch Vale (4.0% ABV)
Crouch Vale Brewery was established in 1981 by two really quite handsome beer enthusiasts. Clearly the passage of time has been kind to the business but not, sadly, to the founders themselves. From South Woodam Ferrers in Essex, Crouch Vale are multi award winners for their fine ales. Supreme Champion Beer of Britain at the Great British Beer Festival 2005 & 2006, this is a pale, refreshing & hoppy beer w/ gorgeous aromas of tropical fruits.
Black Isle, Organic Porter (4.2% ABV)
A long way from the standard industrial estate setting, Black Isle Brewing Co. is nestled in the beautiful surrounds of the Scottish Highlands. Small, intensely independent & committed to the production of innovative beer using only use the best, freshest, organic ingredients. Their porter has masses of dark roasted malt producing a dry, full-bodied ruby black beer that glides across the palate a, wonderful balance of bitterness w/ a light chocolate finish.
