Yes. They still exist. An old-fashioned corner bookstore with super friendly staff. It's all about the books. Stop by even just to cruise amongst the pages.

Forget Strand (although there's no doubt they have a larger selection of books), this place is the best bookstore in the city! Quaint, extremely friendly staff, nice selection. Support this shop!

Favorite bookstore in all the boroughs. Curated selection, always something for me to buy. Walking into Three Lives and Company is like walking back in time. Way better than Amazon, no joke!

Favorite Book Store. Huge collection of books with a wide variety. Prices are affordable. The staff is helpful and kind. Best store in New York. Recommended everyone to visit this place.

Relocated to a temporary location at 238 W 10th Street for the next year. Their original location across from Julius is being renovated.

Best bookstore in NYC. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and well read. I cant imagine buying books anywhere else. Everyone should go here.

Nice neighborhood bookstore worth a visit. Super small but they have most of the standard titles you'd be looking for. Don't expect any sales or discounts though...

Find the latest, top-selling titles toward the front. Lots of fiction & various nooks and crannies for titles on travel, New York, cookbooks, LGBT, and spirituality. No cafe, but those abound nearby.

In a city full of fantastic independent bookstores, this one has the most character. Also, in some kind of superhuman feat, the staff almost always have read everything in stock.
