Totally worth it. Short walk up to temples glorifying Buddha with lots of wall paintings/statues built by various Kings; the first one carved out of the mountain 2,000 years ago. A Sri Lanka top ten!
Great place to relax on a wild deserted 3km+ beach with great staff and food. Avoid "lagoon rooms" across from the busy main road as very noisy, especially if you are on the ground floor (noise above)
A must visit if you are in the area or on a tour of Sri Lanka. Fab 9 km hike with wonderful scenery, fauna/flaura and wildlife. Do invest in a guide as a good one (like we had) makes it so even better

One of the best meals on the island with warm friendly service. Cono cono salad, grilled fish and lobster, rougail ourite (octopus), lentils and vegetables, a mouth-watering feast to remember.
A little gem for a delicious light breakfast, brunch or aperitif. Excellent attentive service by Catherine and team. Try the Burrata and Bruschetta. Well worth a visit.
