They have a special ramen for vegetarians, just ask (it's on the English menu but sort of hiding in a special note on the back). Really good noodles and broth - don't miss it!
Seated immediately for dinner - a relief given the waits back home in NYC. The karaka is one of my favorites anywhere, and the gyoza is also worth trying.
Yes! The Tonkotsu chilli ramen is great. We had middle heat (6out of 10). I can’t imagine what the hottest is like. Extra points for the jazz playing in the background.
I know I can get it in Sydney or Singapore, and even with all the amazing ramen options available in Tokyo & #kyoto, I still just had to have some when I visited Japan...
Go for a later lunch (~2:45) to miss the long lines. They will make a veggie ramen if you ask. Highly recommend adding a soft boiled egg to whatever you order!
about a 15 minute wait around noon, totally worth it. get the spicy pork ramen (spice level 2-3) with extra cha sui. don’t bother with the gyoza, it’s not special.
The Karaka ramen at Extra Spices level was fiery and delicious. Perfect for people who want heat, and you dial the spices up and down and add extras. Dumplings were delicious.
There is always a line out the door, and for good reason - the ramen is just incredible. Gyoza no better than elsewhere bit still yum. Extremely quick table turnover, don't expect to linger.
I’m a local ramen lover and had been underestimated Ippudo. Cuz they are too famous, have long waiting line all the time that consists a lot of tourists. However they are progressed, what a soup tho!
