    This is one of my favorite places in Beijing. The place is so beautiful, and you must go here for a show. The guest performers are usually top. I enjoy opera, ballet, and the philharmonic.

    Lovely "egg" building! In order to enter, you have to walk underground and resurface in the building. The grand hall is beautiful and the acoustics are delightful.

    Beautiful architecture, lots to see, couple of cafes (terrible coffee), nice gift stores. Best of all, it's a quiet escape from the heat.

    The place is much larger, than it seems from the outside. Acoustics is great. There is a small bar (terrible) on one side and a small sandwich shop (equally bad) on the other. Great concerts!

    This huge egg-shaped building, standing on the edge of the moat, is beautiful at sunset. Every year, there are many famous operas played here.

    under Beijing's usually gray sky, its exterior view is not as breathtaking as on postcards, but it's still worth going inside for a half-day tour. you might run into rehearsals on the top floor, nice.
