Chef Johanna Ware brings a NY sensibility to her NE spot Smallwares. She even manages to put a spin on the ever-ubiquitous kale by deep-frying it and serving with a minty fish sauce. [Eater Member 38]

Portions are small yet tasty. I had a strawberry slushy/alcoholic beverage with himalayan sea salt and cobb salad. It was good and nice outdoor seating for a late brunch.

Joanna Ware’s Asian Small Plates Spot is not to miss. We love the Spring Green Pancake, Chawan Mushi, and Spicy Noodles!

Great small plates! Kale, corn soup, ma po dofu are amazing and must tries. Almost everything was a taste explosion. Well executed and inspired!

The ox tail is good but hard to eat. Beware the scotch bonnet purée. It turns you into a little bitch.
