Took the red dot to the blue dot trail. It was tough! Very rocky and steep going up but not terrible coming down. Recommend going up the red and coming down blue.
Due to its exceptionally dark skies, Cherry Springs State Park is one of the best places on the eastern seaboard for stargazing and the science of astronomy. Visit for spectacular night skies!
On a clear day you can see the High Point Monument to the west. You can also just barely make out the Catskills and see the Shawgunk Ridge. Come early. It gets crowded.
One of the best hikes in New Jersey and gets crowded. It is dog friendly, but those boardwalks are narrow. If your dog is easily excited, you will be spending a lot of time waiting for people to pass.
