- Morgan McKeeOctobre 2, 2017Loved this bar! Stopped in while waiting for death and co and couldn't be happier. Bar tender was super friendly and attentive even with the crowded scene. Drinks are potent, stop in or stay a while!
- Ashley AlvarezOctobre 23, 2016Intimate cocktail joint with very cheery and knowledgeable barstaff. Insane collection of bitters most available for purchase there as well. They do an omakase style event monthly!
- Saarim ZamanJanvier 10, 2017Super cute cocktail bar. Try the sharpie mustache or Manhattan. It can get pretty crowded on the weekends so come earlier in the week or you'll be standing in a corner with a fifth in your hand.A voté pour il y a Sep 14
- My favorite cocktail bar in NYC. Cozy, strong and delicious drinks, and friendly staff who know how to mix bitters. Love the floor tile in here too. Get the Sharpie Mustache or My Old Piano.
- One of the best bars in town, but it's not just for things that go dark & stirry in the night! Weekend Double Buzz brunch (coffee & Amaro cocktails!) is the most delightful hangover cure ever.
- Don’t let crowds scare you away; Sother & team crank out more cocktails per square foot than any bar in the city, so you’ll never wait long for a drink 🥃 No shaken drinks but you won’t miss them!
- Eleonora ZorziJuin 11, 2014Ask the bartender to make you a drink with your favorite liquor. You won't be disappointed.
- Aparna MDécembre 7, 2015Easily best small bites + big bitters spot in the city. The Double Buzz is one of my favorite weekend things to do in my old 'hood...can't go wrong, can go shopping for bitters surrounding you!
- Marc MayerMai 13, 2018Really good service, Within 15 seconds of walking in the door, there was a menu in my hand. Have fun and order something off-menu, it'll be delicious.
- KatAoût 17, 2016Excellent, unique drinks and a crowd that appreciates a good cocktail. A perfect after dinner pit stop when in the East Village.
- Bradley KayFévrier 19, 2017Spirituous, balanced, exemplary. These drinks will show you flavors you never knew existed in booze, and will drop you on your ass if you're not careful. Always excellent bartenders. Tight on weekends
- Rachael BrungardAoût 19, 2013Perfect for a person with a special place in their heart for bitters. They have a wide variety, you can taste any of them for free, and you can buy them there after enjoying a cocktail! Fantastic.
- s vJuin 7, 2017(Thrillist tip) Seating here isn’t plentiful, so come early and get the 8 Amaro Sazerac, a "House Favorite," which mimics the original beautifully while ditching the rye whiskey altogether
- Marc SchneebergerAoût 11, 2018If you like bitter cocktails go, I am not a big fan of them but my wife is and she rated them as perfect so I will give them a great comment. Its always packed on weekends!!!
- Small bar in the Wast Village specializing in bitters (amari and cocktail bitters). Intimate, friendly setting staffed by passionate, knowledgeable staff who always make you feel welcome.
- Adrianna TanSeptembre 25, 2016Favourite bar for the bitters fiend in you. If you love old-fashioneds and negronis, even the fancy award winning bars nearby ain't got game compared to these guys.
- Gianna NebbiaMars 26, 2021Somehow their lame cocktails cost 20$ each. And the auto 20% tip is pretty ballsy when you order from a counter and bring it outside yourself. With tip, 2 SIMPLE cocktails and mandatory nuts cost 48$
- Carl FigueiredoJuin 25, 2015Small cocktail bar in the East Village with an emphasis on their house made bitters. Solid cocktails. Worth stopping in for a drink if not too crowded.
- Kimmie OhhDécembre 9, 2019Amazing cocktail bar! Ask your bartender for recommendations. Also note that they make some of their liquids in-house !
- EaterFévrier 19, 2013Amor & Amargo is not a newcomer but they've hit their stride, serving all manner of homemade bitters and elixers. Try going on a weeknight to avoid the crowds, as the space is rather diminuitive.
- NevenaDécembre 10, 2019no shaken drinks (bitters and amaro). mostly standing room only, just a few bar sitting places. be careful, cocktails are tasty and really strong 😨
- DinaAvril 24, 2014A tiny place with a few places on the bar and standing room. Good option when others are full (though it also gets full fast). Drinks are expensive for such an informal place ($15) but good.
- Melissa WeissMai 23, 2016Beautiful space and amazing herbaceous cocktails - just follow the menu and ask the tender for guidance. Only problem: hard to reproduce at your neighborhood bar.
- BarChickAoût 14, 2013This place has a tonne of unfamiliar spirits from Italy & France as well as the favorites, there’s something here for everyone. Here's our review http://barchick.com/find-a-bar/new-york/amor-y-amargo
- NoahSeptembre 4, 2014For something on the light side, get a gin & tonic. For something more adventurously bitter, get a smoky cocktail. I promise you've never had a drink like this before.
- Kayleigh HarringtonJanvier 25, 2017The cocktail with grapefruit was my favorite but they also have a killer old fashioned 🙌
- Rafi SyedJuillet 17, 2012The Expatriate is a fantastic drink, in a tall glass with just the right amount of ice. Space is small, so no groups. Put your name down at Death & Co. first then come here to wait it out.
- AskMenAvril 1, 2011Amor offers classes, bitters for purchase, vermouth on tap (Spanish style), and cocktails using a range of bitters, from Italian amaros to French liqueurs to local stuff.Tapas to match. En savoir plus

- Sabrina MajeedAoût 30, 2015Cute and cozy cocktail bar, but it's not too hard to get a seat at the bar for two. The grandmother's tea is delicious.
- AmateurConciergeFévrier 15, 2016Great hole in the wall for bitters based cocktails (manhattan and negronis). Real east village gem
- Candice DSouzaNovembre 30, 2016Love this spot. Great introduction to Amaros by very knowledgeable bartenders. Get here early, as Soave is limited.
- Ms HeleneAoût 8, 2013Small bar with only a few stools but they take their cocktails very seriously with home made bitters and old style spirits. One for cocktail enthusiasts incl a store of related products.
- Sean BuchananAoût 10, 2016The Manhattan and Old Fashion are @&$?ing amazing. This place knows whisky and bitters. Place is pretty small so it tends to fill up.
- JeffreyDécembre 16, 2013With room for just a couple seats, this bitters-centric outpost can be both enjoyable and educational if you're not yet versed in the ways of bitters, amaros, and the like.
- My favorite EV cocktail spot. Unassuming but packs a punch. Great date spot if you go at the right time.
- emeFévrier 21, 2015Wanted to like this place more than I actually did. Super small, so you're lucky to get a seat, even if you're sipping on a +12 cocktail. Drink (My Old Piano) was really strong.
- Carlo TomasAoût 20, 2014Probably my favourite bar in New York City, tell Sother how you feel and he'll concoct the perfect libation to go with it.
- Chase RabennJuin 28, 2012Ask for a custom cocktail. Get the Negroni style with the house sweet vermouth. Let them choose the spirit and amaro. Always amazing.
- This is one bar where it makes sense to go exclusively "Dealer's Choice" with the bartenders - all of whom are super super cool.
- Lisa GrowAoût 30, 2013Try the burlesque bitters. Ask the bartender to create a cocktail for you in the style/taste you prefer.
- PUNCHSeptembre 24, 2015This bar has one thing on its mind: bitters. Despite having fewer than a dozen seats, it's made a big name for itself as the mecca of all things mouth-puckering. En savoir plus

- Sabrina WangJuin 28, 2016a little pricy but very very good cocktails! they also have some accessories for cocktail making, bitters etc.
- Justin FerrantiMars 20, 2016Very cozy spot. Standing room only. Drinks on the expensive side ($15) but worth it if bitters is your thing
- Eric GallegosOctobre 22, 2016Crowded space, but great craft cocktails with fitting atmosphere and big band music in the background.
- Time Out New YorkOctobre 5, 2011Try the house gin and tonic, a complex cocktail with little in common with your garden-variety G&T. It’s one of our #100best dishes and drinks of 2011. En savoir plus
