- Best BBQ I've had in Arizona! The pulled pork sandwich, ribs, stuffed potato baker, the meat combo, Mac and cheese, baked beans, and apple cobbler are all great. Try the root beer!!!
- Phoenix New TimesAoût 5, 2014Ribs: Think of them as meat lollipops thick with tangy barbecue sauce, tender from being lovingly slow-smoked over pecan logs, and served up with mac 'n' cheese and/or any of a number of other sides. En savoir plusA voté pour il y a Mar 3
- My favorite BBQ spot. I always get the chopped brisket and pulled pork, w/ a homemade root beer, it's consistently very good. Also, the mac & cheese is the best in town. Worth a stop.
- Luke MooneyNovembre 13, 2013Joe's BBQ is a VERY popular place in Gilbert (and for good reason). As a result, it is often quite crowded. I recommend going for lunch or early dinner, if possible, to avoid the evening rush.
- Jonathan DavisAoût 24, 2011I love this place... good food overall. I usually get the bigger sandwich with 2 meats and take half home. Mac and Cheese, beans, cornbread, and cheesy potatoes are all really great sides.
- Taylor HoutsNovembre 17, 2013By far the best BBQ I have ever had! I love ordering to go, and picking it up at the cute little window outside! The people are hilarious and their chicken is the best you'll ever have!!
- Greg WebbFévrier 14, 2013The best bbq in the valley. If it's your first time you have to get a half slab of ribs (caked in sauce), bbq beans, mac n cheese, and homemade rootbeer. You can thank me later.
- Matthew SwartzAoût 4, 2013"The pulled pork here is the best. Also, if you don't know what you want, just get the sliders (chicken/turkey/pork) -- some of everything. Oh and food is free on your b-day."
- Always worth the ride from Ahwatukee and worth the wait. Should there be a line, sometimes to the door or out, it moves quickly... and it's so worth it!!
- Kenneth MillarJuin 8, 2016Joe's Real BBQ is a very unique experience. I love the food and the rustic restaurant in the heart of Gilbert's Heritage District.
- Phoenix New TimesNovembre 4, 2013You won't go wrong no matter what you order, but popular items include the ribs, ham, baked beans, and of course, the homemade root beer. En savoir plus
- Pulled pork, brisket, roasted turkey & chicken, ribs, max & cheese and the cheesy potatoes - yum! The bbq sauces are divine!
- Kyle GrayDécembre 30, 2016Best barbecue place in Gilbert. The sausage is amazing, and the different sauces rock too. Gives a real old fashion vibe.
- Everything is good here. I like the 1/3 lb pulled pork sandwich with a side of mac n. cheese. Sometimes I get sliders or wings when they have them. En savoir plus
- Jenifer LambertAvril 14, 2015The chicken is unbelievably moist. BBQ sauce is one of the best I've ever had. Not too sweet.
- Lyndsey LaGregoNovembre 11, 2010You can't go wrong with the sampler plate. The corn is my favorite side: very sweet and buttery. Wash down with homemade rootbeer. Kids will like the old-fashioned candy and the old tractor inside.
- Megan CampbellNovembre 18, 2013Sit outside for extra room to spread out. The soda machine is inconveniently placed, but the homemade root beer is to die for!
- Nathan PhillipsDécembre 24, 2011Best BBQ in arizona!... the bbq ribs are killer... I love the sauce and the homestyle rootbeer.... oh and rootbeer cake!.. this is a place you need to goto!
- My favorites: turkey sandwich (jumbo), beans and/or cole slaw, arnold palmer. Use all of the condiments, especially the onion relish and the regular BBQ sauce.
- Tim RoanSeptembre 2, 2016Try the sampler platter, mac n cheese, and cheesy potatoes. So delicious!!!
- Greg SchulzNovembre 18, 2014The pulled pork sandwich was solid. The massive piece of cornbread with butter that I can only assume is derived from crack was a game changer.
- Two meat turkey/ribs is the winner. Love the turkey. Don't be a wimp and be sure to try the hot sauce!
- Barbara HutsonJuillet 21, 2011Pulled Pork is amazing at this great family spot in old downtown Gilbert. Great for catering too!
- Per R.Juillet 28, 2013Love their homemade root beer! Their cheesy potatoes and Mac n cheese were good too!

- Eddie KoranekMars 31, 2015The chicken was super dry. Everything else was delicious! Awesome Mac n cheese!
- Awsome bbq, my favorite is the chicken breast either alone or as a sandwich. Best bbq sauce I've had in AZ.
- The only problem is that it is always packed. Lines regularly going out doors...it's that good

- Danica KumlerAoût 12, 2013Love The Walk-Up Window! Pulled Pork Is My Fav. W/ Mac N' Cheese & A Root-beer Float!
- Phoenix New TimesNovembre 12, 20102010 Best of Phoenix Winner: Best Pulled Pork! Scrumptious impeccable pulled pork. Heady with the aroma of pecan smoke, and beyond tender from a low-and-slow cooking technique. En savoir plus

- Courtney JacobsenSeptembre 14, 2010great atmosphere and great food! the baked potato is soo filling but make sure you have enough room for the side mac n cheese :)
- While the pulled pork is certainly a standard favorite, the ham on a sandwich is mighty tasty!
- Andrew GormanJanvier 14, 2013The root beer is the best thing about this place. Worth the trip for that alone.
- Best barbecue anywhere and in my back yard! Pulled pork sammy and mac & cheese are the best but leave room for the homemade apple crisp too. En savoir plus
- Noel SearlesMars 3, 2011I wouldn't call this the best BBQ in town. Decent but nothing special. Try the real root beer. Takes some getting used to if you are used to the mass produced stuff but still good
- Thompson's RealtyMai 2, 2012On free bbq day don't leave because line is long it moves quick. Best slaw around
