Delicious gumbo and poboys! Friendly and efficient staff even when they’re exhausted after Mardi Gras. It wasn’t a planned stop so it was a pleasant surprise!

If you're staying downtown or in French Quarter, take a streetcar ride down Canal St to this mid-city neighborhood restaurant. Creole Italian at its best! Love the stuffed shrimp special on Fridays.

A Canal Street institution drawing patrons for lunch and dinner, Mandina’s menu is creole and Italian, offering fried seafood, po’ boys, sandwiches, and Italian classics. [Eater 38 Member]

Big servings! Try the daily specials. You can't go wrong with the NOLA cuisine standards. Family friendly.

Had the turtle soup, it was good, but I was disappointed to find out there's no actual turtle. Red beans are pretty good. Grilled pork chop is AMAZING!

All delicious: Crawfish cake special, turtle soup, spaghetti & meatballs, and shrimp creole. A bit pricier than lesser-known local joints, but an overall good experience.

The turtle soup is some of the best in town. The po'boys are good, too. And the bartenders are particularly adept at Sazeracs and Old Fashioneds. En savoir plus

Classic New Orleans cuisine. They do beautiful things with crab and crawfish. Right on Canal so it's easy to hop a streetcar to/from the quarter.

Traditional joint out of the French Quarter that is big on portions and nostalgia. The mains are great and the seafood fresh but the service lacking and the sides bland.

This newly-rebuilt restaurant has been in operation since 1932 and is loved by everyone who visits. The specialties are New Orleans favorites, like turtle soup and trout amandine.

And though I had a bad experience with the food our waiter was very understanding and apologetic and offered to take it off my bill and give me a gumbo on the house.

Food was very pricey. I am originally from NOLA and try to eat a roast beef poboy every time I go home. The sandwich here was average at best. Sandwich fell apart and I had to finish it with a fork.

This places food is what I imagine you'd find in an old folks home cafeteria with 5-star prices. Ordered a crawfish etouffee that reminded me too much of cat food I couldn't touch it. All around bland
