This airport is not for the faint of heart, the disabled, or anyone running late. Expect a 20m wait minimum…regardless of your status, TSA Pre-Check, etc.

Watch what line you get in during customs check. The customs officer will pull a Jack Bauer and interrogate the heck out of you. I hate this airport. Don't fly AA either. They will f@ck up everything.

Taxi fare to/from the airport is flat in most cases. Double check before taking any shuttle bus as taxi might be cheaper!

Avoid traffic, & take the Metrorail to the airport, just like you'd take the subway to JFK Airport in New York !! Coming 2012. The biggest favor Miami will do for both its citizens & tourists !!

Very few vegan options. Super lame for a city that has many vegan options. Subway and Jamba Juice is basically it.

Even though the signs direct you up to the skytrain, it's often faster and more pleasant just to walk along the concourse.

THE CELL PHONE PARKING LOT WAS THE BEST IDEA EVER.......IF U FLYING ON AA GET THEIR EARLY THAT NEW TERMINAL IS HUGE

If you use the Skytrain (and you probably will), take the elevators. The escalators are lonnnng - and take a lot longer.

Os táxis ficam na área de embarque. O posto de informações não saberá te ajudar muito. Se vai para South Beach, uma opção a é pegar o monotrilho ate Metrobus Station e dps a linha 150. Custa US$ 2.65.

The D terminal in Miami Airport is massive, now that the construction is finished. It has 60 gates, so to get to your destination faster, use the new Miami Skytrain.

If you self check in you may get very little guidance on luggage drop off. Give yourself plenty of time and demand clear guidance so you don't end up on a wild goose chase, luggage in tow.

Metrorail to airport from downtown was pretty good: convenient (big wheeled bag was fine, with escalators, no stairs) and cheap ($2!) -- but not fast. Just under an hour, from office door to terminal.

I think I just saw a tumbleweed roll through Terminal H. There's seriously like 3 food choices here. The longest line is at the vending machine.

Mew bag wrapping service is a rip off at $30! If you use them don't let them wrap the bags too tight, It jams the handles and wheels and then you will be in for a mission to get them to sort it out.

As nice as the carts are for those that need them, they're extremely dangerous as they go too fast down the concourse. Watch out!
