Great collection of paintings and sketches from Gustav Klimt in an special exhibition. Upstairs there's a collection of challenging art pieces. It's a building with lots of character & a cozy coffee!

Whenever I go, the line tends to be really long, but the museum is small and amazing plus it's only for adults and has some incredible things to see. And if they have a Klimt exhibit on, it's a must.

Going to Neue Galerie was a treat. Stopping by Cafe Sebarsky afterwards is a must. Try the cheese pastry with vanilla syrup and the beet salad!

This is the premiere showcase in NYC for German and Austrian artworks. The Galerie is owned by Ronald Lauder (of the cosmetics empire), and it is a treasure. There is a cafe and a bookstore as well.

The Neue Galerie features early twentieth century German and Austrian art and design and has a feel of a residence rather than a museum. It also houses Cafe Sabarsky, a Viennese coffee house.

Recently went for my 1st time to see the Degenerate Art exhibit. It's a small but excellent museum. Definitely worth visiting! Security is strict about certain things, only b/c the spaces are narrow.

A gem of a museum. Something truly special in a city full of great museums. I can't get the Klimt of Adele Bloch-Bauer out of my head. The clocks and decorative arts also delight.

A little pricey for a small museum, but an absolute must-see for anyone who appreciates early 20th Century German and Austrian art. The building alone is almost worth the price of admission.

Most of the galleries occupy the upper floors. Photography is prohibited and bags must be checked in. There is a reproduction of "Lady in Gold" in the basement but it's just a poster.
