Friendly bar to relax with a nice drink and food! Won't go wrong with the extensive liquor and wine selection. Sit at the bar with bartender Nelson!

The cavatelli is excellent. The service was very attentive. When we noted we had a birthday on open table, a habd written birthday card from the staff was at our table.

The Bitches Say: A-. Occidental Grill is a bit on the pricy side, but a great place to take visitors or to enjoy on special occasions. Awarded with the Best Place to Take Tourists award of 2013!

The dining room inside is definitely more formal than outside but has a ton of character. The Jumbo Lump Crab Sand on Sweet Potato Bread is excellent!

Beautiful shaded patio with a view of the Washington Monument. Perfect spot for lunch and a glass of wine. Don't miss the skillet cornbread!

Great location in the power neighborhood of DC. Outdoor/sidewalk option is lovely if weather cooperates. Service/food = top notch. Pricey

Every Wednesday at 5pm during the Spring/Summer they'll be grilling up grub like Bison Burgers & NY Strip from a massive patio-side grill. Far better than your portable hibachi.

The food was down right bad. I sent back the crab bisque, it was a thin gruel. My fathers steak was completely undercooked. My mother’s salad had no flavor; it was basically just lettuce.

Terribly slow service at lunch today. 10+ minutes once seated to soak with the waiter. Nicoise salad was tiny and not very interesting or flavorful.

Mediocre service, overpriced special with a mandatory 20% tip even for a table of 2.Add'l tip is also expected. Overall not worth the price.2 meals, one with salad & the other w/soup and 2 beers:$180.

Not a nice hostess at patio today. Clearly not interested in having us dine there. Asked if we could sit at 2-top with an added chair after she told us a 15 min wait & she acted put out- didn't stay

Very busy... Service was slow and fries were cold. Manager got us hot fries and comped us dessert and drinks. Food was good.
