The steak is excellent. French, and dump...in a French dumpy way (trivia fact, its the dive Bar featured on the original Law & Order...at the end of MANY of the shows. A dump, but a charming dump.

Raoul's is a SoHo legend for its superb Alsatian cuisine. The Roast Wagyu Bavette is not to be missed.

Oh man, the burger au poivre is so good. One of the best burgers I've ever had. Only available at the bar and not even listed on the menu yet.

Get there by 5pm (even though they don't serve until 5:30) to enjoy the Burger - only served at the bar and they are limited.

There's a second dining area in the back (through the kitchen) that is awesome. Same food but totally different vibe.

I have to say, the burger. Served at the bar only. If there’s a wait, tell them you’re there for THE burger, and they’ll reserve it for you. Pair with a bourdeaux

Arrive at 5 sit at the bar and order the burger wait till 5:30 to be served. 0nly 12 served. Have a drink until the burger comes.

So you get in line 30 min before the 5pm 12 burger bar service (although they only have 9 bar stools). You wait another hr because you were 10/12. Incredible & worth it. Place doesn't fill up till 8.

Tip for myself, haven't tried: "best burger by Thrillist, but only 12 made each night at bar. Make it there before kitchen opens @5:30 to experience their perfect burger"

Stunning French food. Ask for a table at the back and get to walk through the busy kitchen. The profiteroles with hot chocolate sauce are amazing!
