- JD LasicaJuillet 27, 2013Finally, an airport with decent placement of electrical outlets (at the base of the seats) throughout the seating area.
- ᴡ EvansAvril 8, 2015Easy to navigate - never an issue. Careful of flights leaving from the commuter terminal - shuttle takes a while
- Brian IbarraNovembre 16, 2014Great airport with a freaking awesome view of the ocean and you'll fall in love with this place
- Flying Southwest? Print your boarding pass at a side kiosk before getting in line. You'll get directed to the shorter, speedier, bag drop-off line. Cuts your waiting time in half!
- The new Term, 2 is soups pretty and much larger. Thus far security lines have remained short, even in the morning.
- Take your assigned seat as quickly as possible and step out of the aisle to stow your bag. If you are flying Southwest, just pick any seat and sit down, it's not that difficult.
- James McGeeAvril 27, 2014Just arriving!? Ruth's Chris is on the bay and is waiting to serve you the best sizzling steaks with the best bay view in town!! See u soon!
- When flying internationally out of SAN it is best to arrive at least three hours prior to scheduled departure time due to the lack of knowledge of some station agents on passport protocol
- Beware if you are going out of Terminal 1; Gates 1, 1A & 2 have their own area & do NOT have TSA pre-check! They have 2 scanners & 2 potential lines but I've never seen PRE-check here!
- Shi BroadwellDécembre 16, 2017Separate TSA screen for gates 3-10. If you bought a beverage after TSA coming on a connecting flight, be ready to chug; if your incoming and outgoing gates aren’t in the same range, you get TSA again!
- OcoMars 25, 2015If you flight has connections be aware that you will aboard in the commute terminal despite your airline main location in terminals. Airport buses are very helpful ;)
- While under construction it is worth noting that only Terminal 1 at SAN can make LAX look like a palace. Stop at a restaurant or bar before arriving.
- Love the new additions of the San Diego food joints! Gotta love Phills!
- Marisa MillardAvril 13, 2014If you are hungry go to the sunset cove. Lots of great options to choose from.
- Small and convenient, though aot of times TSAPre isn't open. They give you a pass to keep your shoes on but it isn't the full program.
- ZahideAvril 14, 2015My new adventure begins here very excited to be here. Small but a very nice airport with friendly people
- Make sure when flying with checked luggage that you arrive at least 90 minutes prior to you scheduled departure time and if your too early take a break at an Airline's Lounge xx
- Sibyl LindsayJuin 24, 2010If you are stuck for the day there are two sky clubs, Delta and American. Both are $50 a day but go with Delta. Longer hours, friendly service, and 50% if you have certain Amex Cards.
- Scott DurnfordNovembre 27, 2021Terminal 2 is very convenient. Has lots of vendors for souvenirs and other items.
- SD is a great place to visit or live. Just be ready for lots of congestion.
- Busy place, long distances and some misleading gate/exit info. Make sure you pay attention or you’ll end up exiting airport in a flinch. Not many chain places to eat.
- Arnaldo RodriguezAoût 8, 2022American Airlines is at the extreme opposite of the other Airlines in Terminal 2. It’s like it was put in the naughty corner. Download a map or ask someone in advance of wasting a walk.
- Relatively small airport but security is mostly quick. Limited decent options for food but Peet's and Einstein are my personal fav after Aspire Club
- Don DibertDécembre 6, 2014What an extremely efficient airport! ONE VERY SHORT RUNWAY! And, virtually delay free! Awesome! Exemplary!
- If flying out of T2 north security lines tend to be shorter and pre check is available here too
- DoubleTree by HiltonSeptembre 27, 2011Long flight? Peanuts are okay, but bringing a filling, healthy snack like almonds or fruit will keep you tied over until your destination. For more travel tips and fun, follow @DoubleTree on Twitter!
- While parking is under construction, you can take one of many shuttles to alternative lots. Try the commuter terminal lot - it's always empty!
- Great airport - all the improvements have really brought this airport to the upper tier
- Jordan GrosecloseDécembre 13, 2014All the construction is finally done. Also they allowed everyone to leave shoes and things on through security! Awesome!
- Try Saffron for excellent Thai and healthy food. Just love the owner!
- Anne SandrineMars 20, 2015Very easy airport to navigate. Nice clean facilities. And friendly TSA agents...
- Free wi-fi, though it's a little bit slow. The food at Brioche Dorée is expensive but really delicious. Treat yo'self.
- Sara MorrisonMars 12, 2014The Delta wing looks newly renovated. Chargers on every chair, and free fast wifi!
- Best airport to get in and out of for qick and easy travel.
- At Banker’s Hill Bar you can take your beer out into the walkway and away from the crowd.
- Terminal 2 is wonderful. Terminal 1 might be the crappiest part of San Diego.
- Make sure to enjoy some TCBY frozen yogurt. To my knowledge it's the only place in San Diego to get it.
- Karma OviquioJanvier 24, 2011Ok, I've come, I've seen I've conquered. Love it here but couldn't see myself living here. People are so "Not Neighborly" unless you play volleyball or Frisbee. I'll be back love the weather!
- San Diego has the best mexican food!! n that's why I'm here tehehehehehehe ;P lovely airport with free wifi♡
- Traveling with a baby and need help? Arrive early and ask the ticket counter for a companion pass. If it's slow they'll allow someone to pass through security and accompany you to the gate.
- Best 1 runway airport in the country, and busiest
- The Most Interesting Man in the WorldMars 10, 2014I was once forced to land here unexpectedly. I had spilled my coffee aboard the pedal powered bi-plane I was piloting. If I was going to make it to Santa Fe by nightfall, I was going to need a refill.
- Tight corridor for Southwest. If you see an open seat, grab it!
- S HJanvier 19, 2019Stay in the right lane for the cell phone lot as you are going towards terminal 1. Easy in, easy out.
- Todd MillerJanvier 1, 2013If you set off the alarm at the TSA security checkpoint make sure you ask for "extra Vaseline" before they start the invasive search. Also remember that they are here for YOUR safety. Right...
- Sean SeamanSeptembre 27, 2012If you are flying Southwest, you are in a long line to get through security, and you are going to miss your flight... let the security personnel know and they will move you to the front of the line.
