Tom Coates: It’s a good quality fairly traditional small local sushi place. It’s not super ostentatious or showy but the food is good. Medium price for what it is, definitely not cheap.

Tom Coates: A really nice space, not very busy as a rule, good salads. Best to start off with a make your own. You can get a peach green tea and lemonade combination drink which is very nice.

Tom Coates: The menu has a lot of novelty items on it like Garlic Frog, Alligator and Rabbit, but honestly the staples are better. There’s a beef dish, Prik something, that’s amazing. All the food is good though.
Tom Coates: Just a lovely place in the old heart of San Francisco start-ups. Now more of a home for VCs than for the companies themselves, this cafe is the new heart of the area. Cascara Fizz is great too.

Tom Coates: Strongly recommend the brunch. You choose several items from the menu. They’re all pretty small, so get the seven options. The pastries look great but are a bit tasteless so do the brunch every time
Tom Coates: One of the most lurid hotels you’ll ever see, but also one of the sweetest and nicest places. Stay for cocktails and food in the evenings and watch the live band and while families dancing.

Tom Coates: It tends to open around lunchtime, which has caught me out a number of times. They’ll let you try any of the flavors before you buy. They’re all great but the baseline strawberry is extraordinary.
Tom Coates: On the weekends you’ll need to book or be prepared for a wait. Absolutely beautiful views. Bring some sun cream. The BBQ oysters are fresh and delicious.
Tom Coates: This place is just brilliant. The food is great and the environment is beautiful. I STRONGLY recommend the cocktails. The Bruce Banner is lovely. Get seated at the bar for fun.

Tom Coates: Let’s be blunt, it’s not the fanciest of hotels and it’s really at the wrong end of the strip. Despite that the rooms are fine and the rides on the roof are extremely entertaining.

Tom Coates: The museum itself is pretty good, but the star attraction here is over the road - driving around the plane graveyard where aircraft are stored in the desert to preserve their parts.

Tom Coates: Extraordinary and vast museum that it is impossible to really appreciate in just one day. My main tip would be to look at the major exhibitions and spaces online before you go.
