Good place for omu rice with black curry. Paired with local milk and sausage. Excellent, heart, and thick curry. Try the Hamburg too with its cooking-wine spiked sauce. Very friendly service staff.
Pork chop is delicious. Very tender and juicy. Curry udon with katsu is also interesting. The ginger pork slices are also fantastic.
A nasi lemak specialty shop. The rice is creamy and the grain 'blooms'. Sambal and curry chicken is good. Roti jala, nasi kunyit and mee Siam is also aavailabl. Also have a variety of kuih here.
Casual place to have plenty of pork. The pork belly with chutney is divine. So fatty yet so good. The salad kerabu perfect. Mussels with white sauce is also good, with bread to mop up the sauce
Great place for Japanese designed lifestyle products. Check out workshops by the artists on their FB page. There's also a decent café inside serving coffee, tea, and cakes. RM10 for a coffee.
Love the beef noodles and shrimp dumplings set. The beef had a great texture and taste. Noodles were springy. Shrimp dumplings also fresh. A satisfying meal for roughly HKD90.
Please make a booking during weekends, it's usually very packed. Tried their signature steamed tilapia. Good taste, but a little oily. Good meat texture. The claypot tofu used home-made tofu.
Simple decoration, bright cafe. Rusty latte and green tea tiramisu shake is quite good. Army cake for chocolatey goodness.
Lovely clear soup noodles with fish paste. The keropok lekor here is also very tasty, not over-fried, not so much sago flour. Also eat the rojak and nasi kukus. The nasi lemak bungkus is not very good
Kum Loong Meen aka Hokkien Mee is my favourite. Taste of childhood. Dry style unlike in KL where it's usually wet. MYR6.50 for one portion.
Perfect place to buy fresh produce, dry groceries, food, clothes, misc local items. Near Chinatown and waterfront.
The nasi dagang is really good. Locals line up here for the creamy rice and fish curry. The Teh Tarik Meleleh is also famous. Like a tea cappuccino. There's one line for dine-in and one for takeout.
The mosque is made to look like it's floating on the lake. Ample parking and near a beach. Go towards the beach to get a good view.
An amazing restaurant for Foochow. The Kung Pao Eel here is amazing. No dirt taste, and good texture. The ginger smooth tofu is also interesting. Also go for red wine residuum mee suah and chicken.
Hojicha Latte here is my favourite. Aromatic , not overpowered by milk. Lovely interior decoration. They sell terrariums too.
I like this neighbourhood mall because it's relatively easy to park and has a good mix of retail and f&B options. Easy to navigate and the floor space isn't so overwhelming. Many merchants accept AMEX
Breakfast options are cheap and come with thick slices of bread. I like the Flamingo eggs and pork lasagna.
Can't go wrong with the cold platter and iberico pork ribs (beer & honey mustard). Frank Wong, the head waiter provides really attentive service, and tells great stories.

The texture of their 100% rice mee xian is excellent. I tried fish paste with superior soup. Quite good. They have other varieties of soup like tomato, tomyam, spicy, etc.
Nasi Liwet Komplit dengan Ayam Bakar. That Sudanese sambal really set my throat on fire. The rice is very fragrant with the aroma of scallions.
Love the variety of the menu-- Pho, spring rolls, banh mi, grilled seafood, grilled meat, steamboat, etc. Generally most of what I tried tastes good. Grilled lamb, lemongrass clam soup ftw.
Banana Leaf Waffle v1 if you like it sweet, v2 is you prefer it savoury. A refreshing take on the waffle. Yuzu Garden is pretty and great if you like yuzu. Vanilla creme brulee is also delicious.
