The $30 steak was cooked to absolute perfection and was very fairly priced given the high quality. It needs no steak sauce, but the included steak sauce was flippin’ fantastic.

Try the Chopped Bleu salad! It has juicy apples, pecans and red onions! Add some bacon and romaine and suddenly you have a salad that rivals your entrée.

This place doesn't look like much from the front, but the menu and beer/wine pairings are very well done. The food was great and this place would definitely get 5 stars!

Fabulous! Bruschetta with hummus was bursting with fresh flavor. Loved loved loved the shrimp and grits. Creamed corn was savored. Will be back again.

The Karbach Rail Dog does not get as much attention as the yummy Captin's Chicken, but it is filling akaushi deliciousness!

The Captain's Chicken (inspired by Captian Crunch himself 😜) really stood out to me! Their rosemary bread is also hard to put down!!

Foodie Heaven right in the Houston Heights. Try the Chopped Bleu, fried pickles, Captin's Fried chicken, or Blue Crab Cake. Save room for dessert: funnel Cake or ice box lemon pie are my favorites.

Fun, casual atmosphere with great food. We had the fried pickles, parmesan fries and bruschetta to start & all were terrific. For my entree, I had the meatloaf and it was also excellent.

Zelko seats about 50 people and has a no reservations policy. We recommend grabbing a spot at the bar or coming in at off-peak times.

DO NOT get the fries... without truffle oil! OMFG. I just want to smash them against my face. And the fried chicken is slap yo' mama worthy.

One of the hardest things to find in Houston is a BRUNCH on saturdays. The only harder thing to find is the actual restaurant.

Really cool atmosphere - I dig all the hardwoods. Liked the fried chicken & the bleu cheese salad. Wine by the glass is WAY over-priced.

Initially felt the hostess was a bit unhelpful - and seem to only smile at people she knew.... but the food.... enjoyed by all 4 people. In a rare case - I even cleaned my plate. The fried chicken is

The waiters were assembling their napkins and silverware over an open trash can. Left the pile of napkins on a box balanced on the trash can rim. In plain view of customers!

nice craft brew selection. way too much food for their slow food aspirations. captin chix was good but i like Katz fried chix better. no pub wifi 4 a biz that warns you theres no cell reception. dumb!
