TSA at MSY is ridiculous! Why 1 person is checking boarding passes and 3 "watching" when there are 50+ people in line makes 0 sense to me. My advice is get there early / in plenty of time!

Meredith McGuireAoût 4, 2019Nice airport and TSA didn’t take too long; but it was EXTREMELY cold for needing to wait 6 hours overnight. Maybe put in some sleeping lofts like they have in Japan (paid, of course, by the hour).

Chip HJuin 28, 2011Just take a cab downtown if you're traveling w/someone. Downtown shuttle is $38 per person and will stop at several other hotels on the way. Cab fare for 2 is $33.

If you are traveling Southwest and not checking bags - go to the right towards security and there are 4 self checkins - usually no lines!

Food is garbage. Parking is full half of the time. Definitely one of my least@favorite airports.

App based ride area behind the Transportation Center. Coordinate through your app first!

Watch out for Avis/Budget fuel prices!!! The others are around $5.25 a gallon. Avis/Budget is $9.29! Highway robbery.

Be patient with TSA here... it’s bad. Slow as Christmas and they do not care. Eat before. Food options are quite poor. Parking sucks. The good: on time, and a lot of direct flights. Should be Btr soon

Vegetarians: pack your lunch. Absolutely zero veggie options. Even all of the salads are pre made with meat.
