- As a Texan, I can say that this is the BEST Tex-Mex in NYC. Sad to see it has a low rating. Authentic queso, great brisket and amazing margs.
- Michelle WilesMars 16, 2017Veggie fajitas with queso ($20) means you get 4 tortillas, 2 quesos, chips, mini guac, rice, beans, tomatoes, plus tons of grilled veggies.. best deal at javelina for sure
- Displaced Southerner looking for an authentic Mexican joint: this isn't it. BUT it's as close as you'll find in NYC. REAL white cheese dip. Good tacos, tamales & enchiladas. Salsa a little too sweet.A voté pour il y a Il y a 1 semaine
- MarcAvril 15, 2017GrubStreet: most authentically Tex-Mex rest in NYC in range of offerings (serves San Antonio puffy tacos) and overall tastiness... sizzling umami explosion that is its fajitas are some of the best

- Kimmie OhhJuin 30, 2020Avocado margarita or sangria swirl margarita to drink. Get the queso blanco & juicy brisket tacos to eat. Order the puffy pork tacos too!
- The Wall Street JournalAvril 23, 2015For a traditional appetizer, the tamales are freshly steamed and pillowy. And the queso dips—melted cheese loaded with tomatillos, serrano peppers, and roasted pablanos—are popular any time of day. En savoir plus
- Conall AroraFévrier 17, 2017NYC only tex-mex option. A little taste of Austin in NYC, very good and definately the best we got. The chips and cheese are too good
- Sam WinnickMai 21, 2015Very loud but fun. The margaritas taste like they use a sugary premade mix. The queso is amazing/ glorified nacho cheese dip. The San Antonio puffy taco is awesome but the fried corn tortilla is OD.
- One of the loudest rooms I've been in in a while. Would be tough to talk to a date here. Good vibe. Really good food. Try the avocado cilantro margarita.
- Judy LuoNovembre 13, 2015cute place! queso dip and pork tamales with red chile sauce were delicious. very friendly service but it's teeny and gets loud, so best for smaller parties.

- PureWowAvril 9, 2015Tex-Mex invokes visions of nachos and queso, which are certainly delicious at this new Gramercy spot, but the frozen avocado margaritas are a thing of splendor. En savoir plus
- Rebecca SutterAvril 14, 2015Nicest staff (surprise, they're 90% Texans), and delicious drinks and food, even if not exact replicas of the dishes they pay tribute to.
- PureWowAoût 4, 2016Veggie cocktails are having a huge moment, and you can stay on trend with the creamy and surprisingly tasty Avocado margarita here. (Oh, an avocado is a fruit? Whatever.) En savoir plus
- Alice EunjinNovembre 25, 2015Order Queso, steak fajitas, and margaritas (I didn't like the enchilada or poblano pepper as much) Great food and drinks!
- Elyse EstradaMai 2, 2015Can't decide between guac or queso? Get the Mag Mud, it's both! Steak enchiladas were super flavorful and the spicy margarita was one of the best I've had!
- Nicolette RomeroOctobre 5, 2015Love me some original breakfast tacos with chorizo. Treat yo self and add avocado to them. If you're thinking about a Bloody Mary, pass. Not impressed with them.
- Srinivas VasudevanMars 26, 2015Awesome Tex-Mex place. Special mention to the Maître d for arranging for dinner to be cooked after the kitchen closed. She was an amazing hostess.
- StephanieOctobre 21, 2016Got takeout from here - it was really fresh and tasty. They forgot to give me chips to go with the queso and guac so check your bag before you leave!
- Ben K.Octobre 3, 2015If you need a Tex-Mex fix this place is pretty tasty. Try the queso and puffy tacos. They apparently have breakfast tacos on the weekends.
- Ashley MeadFévrier 29, 2020Amazing queso and Texan ceaser but we were so rushed!! Plenty of empty tables and we had a reservation but they tried to take my food before I was done TWICE.
- Daniel FungMars 28, 2015The San Antonio Puffy Tacos are a textual adventure of deliciousness. A must have along with the Bob Armstrong Queso. My new go to spot.
- Kimi ChiangJuin 19, 2015I felt like I was back in Houston! The mag mud made me extremely happy to find authentic queso in NY.

- Honghui YuAvril 5, 2015The mag mud queso is amazing and will fill you up. Steak fajitas are good but expensive and not mindblowing.
- Mitra SalaselMars 16, 2015The white Queso is unheard of in NYC--it used to be the only thing I missed about my native Texas, now it's here! TL;dr--order it!

- julia tAvril 23, 2015Good lunch near Union square. Yummy javelina salad and decent fish tacos. Chips are just fine.
- Queso (all are good) and steak and chicken fajitas (sunset style).
- ᴡᴡᴡ.Necede.nxwo.ru HJuillet 10, 2015Guilty pleasure- very heavy but pretty good food. The Mag Mud dip was quite good but the other quesos were underwhelming. Pescado Cilantro was incredibly good. Very loud place, even when almost empty.
- Hillary HeathMai 9, 2015Slushy margaritas are very good, as is the queso. Brisket tacos did not live up to the hype.
- Archana ManiOctobre 13, 2016Best queso and margaritas!!! Get both and enjoy the flavors melt in your mouth.
- Benjamin PalmerMai 27, 2015shrimp fajitas, "sunset style" which means they crack an egg on it and add queso
- Abhishek PillaiFévrier 25, 2017The "Puffy" Pork Taco was ok. The puffy taco was somewhat gimmicky and didn't add to the taste. It was too oily but had a significant amount of meat. Chips+queso was pretty good!
