LTN is a 20 minute taxi from my home - Heathrow 45-60 minutes and Gatwick an hour by train. Door to plane door, LHR and Gatwick still win. That's saying something.

Paying £4 (£3 if prepaid) for fast lane through security saves about 15 minutes if you're in a hurry.

Boon KohAvril 30, 2015Bringing liquids on the plane? You can't use your own clear bags. Only theirs that cost £1 as only those can "prove" you have less than 1 litre of liquids in them.
Security is a fiasco. I’ve never seen such a mess. Not a great airport at all...
If you are flying out, make sure you check-in with Foursquare and ask for £5 off in Duty Free shop (if you spend over £35).

This airport is fit only for cattle, so be prepared for rude staff, massive queued and unmanned counters. £3 for the Priority Lane will be the best money you'll ever spend.
Get here early.. Security's the longest it'll ever be!

This airport is a shed with airplanes attached. Absolutely no reason to spend longer than you need too here. Hoping for better once renovations have been completed.

("maintenance deficiency"?, but) the main problem is that the airport doesn't have a disaster plan or a plan b if they have to cancel flights. Like backlot parking spivs. Shame APCOA & Luton Airport.

JoyboliciousJuin 11, 2016Worst London airport ever. the cost from Luton to central London is at least 15.50 each way and queues to get out are ridiculous. Took an hour and you still have to take a shuttle to get a train. :(

Ruth BurdenMars 28, 2010you get one hour free parking in the mid term car park, so get the free shuttle bus and get picked up from there instead of the short term where you have to pay!
Everyone goes to WH Smith just after security to buy water. Don't! Carry on into the concourse and go to Boots. Cheaper and shorter queues.
What a drab airport...not a good experience if it's your first time in the UK. Fly to Heathrow it's so much more convenient.
Has more toilets than any airport I've seen.
Maeve PatersonSeptembre 6, 2013Would not choose this airport if I had a choice. Unfriendly, pricey. I was afraid to stand in one place for too long, invade I got a ticket. Trollies £2. Dropping someone off £2. Extra bag £40. Yuk.
The airport is under constructions again, always plan at least 3 hours to get to this airport!

Worst airport, security staff tried steal my laptop &ipad but failed, then they dissapeared new person showed up and the stuff magically re appeared keep ur eye out they have a nice racket over here

Pociagiem szybciej niż autobusem. Sprawdź pociag: są 2 rodzaje zwykły (staje na każdej stacji) i przyśpieszony (35-40 minut do centrum). Bardzo często jeżdzą. Transfer na stację autobusem z lotniska.
