- The Greyhound waiting area is where funk and stink take up residence . Also the seating area near the Dunkin Donuts has sockets on top of it. You can charge your devices there while waiting.A voté pour il y a Il y a 3 semaines

- Exit on the east side and check out the Ironbound neighborhood. Get a sub at Hero King and a pastel de nata (custard pastry) at one of the Portuguese bakeries.
- Somehow Newark Penn makes me feel a little more at home! Only downfall, unlike the MTA, nj transit don't have bums riding the express and locals.

- Cindy GormanMai 22, 2013Really easy to figure out day 2. Fare share of visitors and sights. PATH is what we used and it worked for us! Clean and appeared to be business oriented. Only $2.50 each way.
- If you find yourself with over 30 minute wait for a train after 7pm- head over to the market restaurant by the Hilton. Decent food, bar and you can park there for a bit.
- When the cab lets you off at 1am in the front and you need the PATH, hitail your ass to the rear of the station before you get caught slippin' This is some BS!
- If you're pretty, and you have to wait for a ride in the lobby, put a bag over your head to avoid catcalls from the countless bums.
- Which is worse walking into the restroom, seeing a homeless guy washing his ass in the sink or the jerk in a nice clean suit standing behind him yelling for him to finish so he can wash his hands.
- Every bum in Essex county is pan-handling here like its a job, get used to the question... Can you spare something for train fare, I'm trying to get home... Riight
- NJ.comMars 23, 20115-10 min. walk to Prudential Center indoors almost all the way - follow "Gateway Center" signs - you'll use a covered walkway to get across the street from the Pru Center - food and shops on the way
- Use the Amtrak waiting room instead of the platform level when waiting for your train. Beautiful!
- If you take the Raritan Valley Line, get comfortable. You are in for a wait.

- Chances are, to get to your nice little cul-de-sac in your quiet suburb in central Jersey, you have to go through here. Get your shots, wear protection and God speed.
- The signage can be misleading, so you might end up on the wrong side of the street. Take a few minutes to look over the station map.
- To get to Prudential at Broad St, walk through the Gateway Center (and then two blocks down Clinton St for a total stroll of around a half mile) or take the subway/light rail to Military Park.
- The popcorn is delicious, freshly popped, and only $1.50 per bag. Get some and enjoy the tips while you wait for your train.
- Vegans: some clearly marked options in Chickpea
- No real amenities besides some middling architectural charm. Not unsafe but station is in poor condition and not a place for the faint of heart to spend any more time than is necessary.
- Try to avoid the Men's room whenever one side is shut down for cleaning. It gets a bum overload and next thing you know you're rubbing elbows with two guys arguing over who can do their drugs in the s
- PATH train currently departs from Platform H 09/2022. Follow detour signs. There is only one fare machine so load up ahead of time.

- Lots of transit options - NJ Transit Trains & Buses, Amtrak, PATH, Greyhound, Taxis, and Uber picks up here also. Busy station!
- The main lobby of Newark Penn Station: the stinkiest place on earth.
- Zaros is great for a quick sandwich or cup of joe...
- this place is terrifying at night so many unwell people trying to talk to you and solicite money from you. it’s an over whelming amount

- Busiest train station in New Jersey . Check our Zarie downstairs for some quick food of you missed lunch

- Keep an eye on the monitors for track information. Sometimes trains change tracks <5 minutes before they arrive.

- The PATH train runs every half hour late nights, weekends and holidays. It's nothing like filling in for the 5A.M. shift and having to leave at 2, 3 in the morning because of the timing!
- Too many homeless hanging out, causing trouble or begging for change. If you don’t work then you don’t eat, that’s the world we live in today!
- After leaving a train it will always be a mad rush getting down the stairs to the main entrance. Instead bypass all of the madness by taking market street or Raymond blvd exits.
- Busy place. Not the most fun place to hang out, but serves as a suitable transit station.

- Get ur tickets at the njtransit machine on the platform instead of the counter in order to avoid lines. Happy traveling!
- A bit outdated, but a very serviceable station. Waiting area smells a bit. I recommend going to the Gateway Center to kill some time.
