Jeff HJanvier 22, 2011TSA body scanners require EVERYTHING out of pockets. Eve things like chapstick and boarding passes. If you don't comply, you will get a free groping by an unseemly TSA Officer.
If flying domestically it is by far DC's most convenient airport!
Just had a very positive experience with USAir despite delays and diversions.
National is the local name. Reagan is the tourist name. DCA is the genuine regular traveler name of the airport.

Book flights out of terminal B or C. Great terminals, easy access compared to flights out of terminal A.
Tuesday mornings aren't busy - great to know if you want to avoid long lines!

If you can fly in at sunset, it's pretty amazing to see the sun set over the Capital.
They need to build a walkway - it took 20 minutes on a crowded shuttle bus to go 600 feet between terminals
Did you remember to pack your phone charger
Be sure to bring a bunch of Panda Express with you on the plane...everyone loves the smell of bad Chinese for 2 hours

You now have to take off sweaters and any layers ladies. Tsa women pat downs not available so had to take off all layers. Embarrassing.
The shoe shine in terminal c does a bang up job
