Come between 2 and 2:30 for quick service and do not leave without trying the chocolate potato donut and bacon wrapped dates. Burmese pork stew and chicken hash are stellar too.
Worth the hour wait. Patatas bravas were awesome. And the breakfast board was a sight for sore (hungry) eyes. And the French toast...speechless it melted so gracefully in my mouth.
The barbeque chicken here is fantastic. Get that and a couple of biscuits and you'll leave completely satisfied. I also really like the house-made chips and French onion dip, and the Toro red ale.
This place I've read is popular with their brunch menu but I almost died & went to heaven with the goodness of their Pork Adobo which is sooo tender! I'm Filipino btw 😋😎
The second in a trio of Chef John Gorham restaurants. The food manages to feel both fun and yet carefully crafted, with a wide range of global influences from Korea to the U.K.
Exceptional service at the first come seating area at the bar. The biscuit egg sandwich with sausage was perfectly cooked (egg was just runny enough). Highly recommended for a filling breakfast bite.
Drinks are GREAT! I want to try them all! And on top of that the food is epic and our waitress treated us (and everyone around us as well) like we were her best friends!
Really unique dishes. Try the raddichio salad, the Burmese red pork stew, the polenta and sausage ragu, or John's Breakfast. One of the best burgers in town too. (definitely easier during the week)
Flawless menu. We went family style with the breakfast board, spinach and sunny-side up, French toast, vegetable frittata +5 more dishes. 2hr waits not uncommon, but worth it.
Order the breakfast board, a great sampling of small bites. Today's board: pickled beets, chicken liver mousse, hard boiled egg, mini bacon strips, Greek yogurt, mini toasts, and strawberries.
WILLIAMS AVE: Ridiculously popular brunch hotspot, with lots of glowing press. Dinner and happy hour are great too if you want to avoid the zoo (or go and be part of it!). Love their breakfast board.
The breakfast biscuit is delicious with a flaky large biscuit. Chocolate potato doughnut is worth trying. Morocco chicken hash is a small sized plate that's a bit skimpy on actual chicken.
If you're visiting Portland, consider extending your trip a few weeks to allow yourself time to work through every item on the menu. Alternatively, the Polenta & Sausage Ragu, and the Potatoes Bravas.
Start with maple bacon wrapped date, then the tasty African sausage. Coax your partner to order the Burmese pork stew and dig into that too. Everything is delicious!
Bring friends and order a variety of dishes—they brought our brunch whenever a plate was ready, so a constant stream of warm, delicious food we could all share and enjoy!
Fried egg, cheddar biscuit, house made sausage - a perfect breakfast sandwich. My boyfriend had the Moroccan chicken hash, was delicious. Great kimchi too.
Potatoes bravas over easy eggs is very delicious. French toast great and you have got to try fried egg&cheddar buscuit. Very nice place and good service
There is usually a line, we waited about an hour to be seated. However, the service was great and the food was worth the wait. Get a Bloody Mary with jerky while you wait!
Go with a bunch of yer awesome friends before a Cross Crusade Race and order a bunch of plates to share! Biscuits + Gravy, Chocolate Potato Donuts to start. Don't miss the Roasted Apple + Glazed Yams!
Bloody mary with teriyaki chicken jerky, breakfast plate with beets and chicken liver mousse, and steak and eggs with jalapeño pancake + hot sauce. Incredible.
The best new brunch spot in Portland also has a lot of its regular menu items on Happy Hour for a fraction of the price from 2:30-5pm. Go early, there’s only a single communal table for seating. En savoir plus
This is one of those "can't go wrong" restaurants, but whatever you do, order a bacon wrapped date ($2). Also, sit at the kitchen bar and be mesmerized by the chefs.
Love this place. It is super stellar and affordable which often doesnt go hand in hand. The Hush Puppies will Melt in your mouth! If you are a party of two, Sit on the line and watch the magic happen
