Al S: Decent tacos and small Mexican appetizers, if a bit pricey. Solid beer list with some local and other quality drafts. Try a nitro margarita for a fresh take on a classic cocktail.

Al S: Great weekend brunch buffet. Tons of food options. Solid cocktails. But the buffet is NOT cheap at more than $50 per person, so come (very) hungry. Name is a reference to the book Charlotte’s Web.

Al S: Great dumplings. Big menu with lots of tasty spicy options. I’m a big fan of the julienne chicken with shredded potato and green pepper. $20 credit card minimum charge.

Al S: Love this spot. Excellent food across the board, though it’s not cheap. Inspired beer list too, with four rotating drafts (usually local) and many of the classic standbys in cans/bottles.

Al S: Tasty food, friendly staff, free chips and salsa. Dinner entrees can be expensive, but lunch specials are affordable and portions are large. The chicken with mole sauce is excellent. Get that.

Al S: This field is almost exactly on the site of the molasses tank that exploded in 1919, killing a few people and injuring many more. Read the book Dark Tide by Stephen Puleo for details.
